Welcome to the 2017 International Pulp Bleaching Conference (IPBC), that will happen for the first time in South America. This will be the "Tropical" IPBC.
The IPBC takes place every three years and it is the most relevant worldwide event in the area of pulp bleaching. The 2017 IPBC will cover the following topics: pulp chemistry and its impact on bleachability of paper and dissolving pulp grades; chemistry and technology of pulp bleaching with oxygen, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, enzyme, and others alternative products; the impact of bleaching on paper and dissolving pulp qualities; brightness reversion; bleaching of shives; the effect of bleaching on production of cellulose nanofibers; water management and systems closure. The selection of the presentations is made by a scientific committee composed of renowned international experts in the field.
The venue for the 2017 IPBC will be the paradisiac tropical city of Porto Seguro, the birth of the Brazilian Civilization. The event will take place in the period of Aug 28 - 30, a very pleasant climate season in the Brazilian Northeastern State of Bahia.
Who should attend: professionals involved in pulp bleaching research and industrial production of bleached kraft pulp, dissolving pulps, nanofibers, and noonwood fibers. Scientists and process engineers working in pulp and biorefineries mills, and their suppliers of equipment, chemicals, controllers, instruments, and projects .
To add more value to our attendees, we are co-locating the IPBC with the 2017 International Symposium on Wood Fiber and Pulp Chemistry (ISWFPC), which will run after the event, in the period of Aug 30 to Sep 1, with a bridging session on Wednesday (Aug 30th).
